On September 16, 2010 our membership voted to make a few changes in our by-laws. Unfortunately those changes were inadvertently (disk problem) excluded in our 2011-2012 Handbooks.  Please note the following changes that were made at that time and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call.

Canyon Lake Woman 's Club

 

 

Proposed Bylaw Amendment

 

 

 

 

The Board of Directors for 2010-2011 Canyon Lake Woman's Club proposes to

 

amend the By-Laws which serve as our organizing document.

 

 

Following are the proposed changes:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Article III - Membership

 

 

 

Section 3. 

Add: "A non-resident may become a member if sponsored by a

 

 

member in good standing.  The sponsoring member is responsible

 

 

for the non-resident and for calling in the non-resident for meetings.

 

 

The non-resident member may have all privileges of the

 

 

Woman's Club except for the privilege of being an elected officer

 

 

and voting. Non-resident members may serve on any committee."

 

 

 

Article IV

Dues

 

 

 

Section 1.

Delete" $15.00 a year and insert "determined by the current

 

 

 

Board of Directors."

 

 

 

 

 

Annual dues will be "determined by the current

 

 

 

Board of Directors."

 

 

 

 

 

 

Article VI - Executive Board

 

 

Section 2.

Insert the word "special" before the meeting in the very last sentence.

 

 

A "special" meeting must be called at the written request of a

 

 

 

majority of the Board.

 

 

 

 

Section 4.

Add: "In the event that the Vice President is unable or

 

 

 

unwilling to serve, then the board shall determine the

 

 

 

procedure for replacing the President."

 

 

 

 

 

Article X - Nominations and Elections

 

 

Section 9.

In the last sentence insert after the word vote "of members present".

 

 

A majority vote "of members present" shall elect.

 

 

 

 

Standing rules changes:

 

 

 

#2.

Insert " fiscal" before year.

 

 

 

 

 

The President, First Vice President & Treasurer shall sign bank signature cards

 

at the beginning of the "fiscal" year.

 

 

 

#13.

Add:  Annual dues shall be 15.00 a year.
